Advances in Medical and Dental
In the medical field, Sachtleben’s Blanc fixe pigments are used as contrast agents for X-ray examinations, while its baryte additives are added to plastic catheters and tubes to make them visible on the X-ray screen.

Meanwhile, engineered ceramics from CeramTec are used to fabricate artificial knee joints and dental products for the preliminary fitting of dentures and appliances. Ceramics provide excellent strength, wear resistance and biocompatibility compared to other materials.
