Rockwood Pigments and WR Grace Renew Color Distribution Alliance

Beltsville, Maryland (November 1, 2009) – Rockwood Color Pigments & Services Division and WR Grace Construction Products have extended their alliance to jointly distribute Rockwood’s Chameleon® liquid color dosing system and concrete color products in North America. WR Grace has distributed Rockwood’s products and systems exclusively to the Ready-Mix and Precast industries in North America since July 2003. Under the alliance, Rockwood will expand direct marketing to the industry while Grace continues to service its existing client base and work closely with Rockwood on new sales opportunities.

Expanding the distribution and service network for Rockwood’s color products and dosing systems will enable both companies to support the widespread demand for colored concrete and systems in the ready-mix and precast industries. The alliance does not include the masonry, paver, roof tile, coatings, plastics and specialty industries, which continue to be serviced solely by Rockwood.

According to Nick Paris, Vice President of Marketing for Rockwood; “Rockwood Color Pigments and W.R. Grace both share a commitment to satisfy the needs of the market by providing the best possible service and product supply capabilities. The partnership between Rockwood and Grace has been successful in growing the decorative and architectural concrete color market since 2003. We look forward to continuing the relationship.”
