Health and Safety Policy

Rockwood Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries are committed to the Health and Safety of all its employees, customers and other persons who may be affected by the Company’s activities. We fulfill this commitment through the adoption of procedures and programs that provide a safe working environment and safe products. Each operation/facility will comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Health and Safety Management Systems are established throughout the organization to ensure that the Company’s policy commitments are implemented. Risks are evaluated on a routine basis and suitable protective actions are taken.

All Rockwood subsidiaries must develop and implement health and safety programs that conform to this policy. Line management is responsible for implementing systems and procedures that protect employees and control routine operations. The subsidiaries must also establish audit procedures to monitor implementation of this Policy.

Additionally, all employees of the Company have a responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others. The Company expects every employee, regardless of their role, to maintain a sensitivity and awareness of Health and Safety matters.
