Rockwood Pigments

The Rockwood Pigments division is a primary manufacturer and processor of liquid, powder and granulated forms of iron oxide and supplies a wide range of other inorganic pigments used by manufacturers of coatings and colorants, concrete products, plastics, rubber, paper, vinyl, cosmetics, pet food, ink, toner, and industrial uses.

Because of the unique properties and high value of Inorganic Pigments, they are used for corrosion protection, flame suppression, and in catalyst, magnetic and chemical processes in addition to a wide spectrum of color applications.

Rockwood’s manufacturing and processing sites are located in Beltsville, MD; St. Louis, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Walluf, Germany; Matlock, UK; Torino, Italy and Fuyang, China. Headquarters are in Beltsville Md. with sales, R&D and technical service laboratories at each of the operating sites.

Rockwood Pigments modern pigment synthesizing facilities are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 quality management systems and the standards of DIN EN IS0 14001:1996 for environmental responsibility.
