Rockwood Additives, Ltd. is a producer of clay and smectite-based additives used by manufacturers of coatings, paper, catalysts and industrial and consumer products to enhance product performance or impart unique properties. Located in the UK, Rockwood Additives, Ltd. supplies a wide-range of high performance products including Fulacolor and Laponite backed up by professional technical support and on-going research and development programs.

Fulacolor is the whitest reactive clay available. It is incorporated into the reactive coatings that give carbonless copying paper it's ability to transfer images.

Laponite is a synthetic silicate additive, which can improve the viscosity and flow properties in water-based products such as toothpaste, paint, personal care and household cleaning products. Laponite can impart shear-sensitive viscosity and improve stability and syneresis control. Specially modified grades of Laponite are used to produce antistatic coatings.

Another product manufactured by Rockwood Additives, Ltd. is Fulcat, which is a chemically modified smectite clay catalyst employed in alkylation processes to produce fuel additives and related products.
